About This Pathway

Lessons for native French learners are primarily conducted in French to support fluency and immersive learning, while English may be used when necessary for clarification or explanation. Teenage Francophones Pathway The Teenage Francophones Pathway is an immersive, active learning programme for native French-speaking secondary students who wish to maintain a strong connection to their language and culture while developing advanced literacy and critical thinking skills. Inspired by the French collège curriculum (6ème–3ème), the programme strengthens reading, writing and oral expression, while reinforcing grammar and analytical precision. It offers an academically strong and culturally rich experience, equipping teenagers with the confidence and skills to thrive in French and beyond. Teenage Francophones Pathway Highlights: 1. Language, Literature, Critical-Thinking and Cultural Development Targeted reinforcement of grammar, conjugation and spelling Engagement with French culture, history and current affairs Study of classical and modern texts Advanced reading comprehension across varied genres Structured essays, summaries, analytical and creative writing Confident oral expression through discussion and debate Analysis of themes, stylistic devices and literary movements 2. Age-Appropriate Programme Carefully tailored to secondary learners, the programme ensures smooth progression from primary foundations toward increasingly sophisticated writing and critical thinking. Academic rigour is balanced with flexibility and active learning, encouraging independence and engagement with relevant, meaningful topics. 3. Engaging, Fun, Contemporary Learning Dynamic and interactive lessons using authentic resources. Activities may include video news reports, song writing or analysis, opinion pieces on current events, debates, writing competitions and real-life scenario tasks. 4. Daily Practice and Weekly Resources Short daily tasks reinforce vocabulary, grammar and analytical skills. Weekly curated resources extend learning beyond the lesson and support independent study. 5. Optimal Session Length Focused 1-hour lessons — ideal for secondary learners.
